Our beliefs......

Being in business is a wonderful vehicle for developing 'who we are', and can be a life enhancing experience. Our business lives take up too much time for us not to find enjoyment in working with customers, employees and suppliers.

In business profitability is not an option.Without profits businesses fail, visions and hopes are dashed and lives become blunted. Though profitability is not the only reason you are in business, it is a requirement. We work very closely with you to increase your profitability and encourage you to work toward financial independence.

No business is an island. We are all part of a community and have obligations to that community. Often we overlook the positive impact our business has in the wider community, jobs created, wealth generated. Be proud of what you do and share that widely.

Very often more than we imagine is possible, once we imagine it. When we push at our comfort boundaries we get to play a bigger game.

Our approach......

We are flexible in how we work with you. No two clients have precisely the same issues, and no two clients receive precisely the same programme.

From our research we can show that all sustainable successful businesses have mastered 7 Key Activities, therefore naturally these lie at the heart of all our work. However which Key we work on with you first will depend on the core challenges you face.

We aim to be available when you want us – or at least soon after. There is nothing more frustrating than having a pressing question and not being able to get a response. Although some of our work will happen a prescheduled times you may call or email us during the normal working day, Monday to Friday and get a response within 12 hours.

We operate at the highest levels of integrity. That means that if something is not working, we'll say so. We won't waste your valuable time, or ours.

What's unique about us?

We walk our talk. I've been a solo professional  since 1991. I regard my own business as successful and have helped others build successful businesses.

I know the mistakes to avoid. I have learned from my own will writing business that failed and from several businesses I have invested in that have also failed and those of clients that have failed. Failure is not a disaster, as long as we learn something and do not go on to make the same mistakes more than twice – sometimes we don’t learn the first time- by the third time if we have not learned, we need a lot of help.

Avoiding avoidable failure is a critical part of success.

Our work is informed by and built on the shoulders of giants. I read widely and I am committed to my ongoing development to bring you the best practices. Only a tiny portion of what I teach is original but bigger bits are innovatory in that they combine and build on the work of others.

These others include Tony Robbins, Mike Southon, Nigel Risner, Jack Canfield, Rachel Elnaugh, Robert Craven, Mark Buckingham, Michael Gerber, Jay Abraham, John Barnes, Christopher Hampton, Roger Hamilton, Gerard O’Donovan,Jonathan Jay, Peter Thomson and John Niland.

I have personally met many on this list and have even worked alongside some of them. In addition there are the hundreds of business owners I have worked with over 20 years, many of whom I have personally helped raise finance, improve profitability, expand and grow and a few I have helped into a less painful liquidation, a new direction or decide not to start up at all. Over 90% of them have taught me something worthwhile that is now part of me and might be used to help you.

Our programmes are flexible and affordable. Call us for more details and to set up an exploratory discussion.

Since 1991 Albert has worked as a Coach, Mentor, Adviser, Non Executive Business Supporter and consultant to the owners of businesses with 2 to 50 employees and with solo professionals.

He has had assignments as an Interim Manager and businesses in the SME business support sector, food wholesaling and retailing, helping develop and implement strategic business plans

He most enjoys the role of Coach, where he provides independent, detached, objective, cost-effective and value-adding coaching, mentoring and advice. His strengths include the ability to be creative, innovative, lateral thinking and incisive, quickly getting to the core of an issue.

Albert is fully aware of the interaction between individuals and the need for effective teamwork, where people play to their talents. Though not an HR specialist, he recognises that people are often both the problem and the solution

As a coach he is flexible and adaptable, believing in honest, open, conversations based around “wisdom” questions that lead to insight and are a catalyst for change and improvement

Albert has a successful track record in helping companies raise finance and introducing marketing techniques from other sectors to improve performance.

He believes in having appropriate financial controls and good management accounts that provide useful information and not just irrelevant data.

He understands the dynamics of business and the importance of timely action based on analysis, both in times of growth and contraction. He believes profit is sanity, turnover vanity, cash reality

Originally from a retail background with Marks and Spencer, specialising in food buying and project management, he moved into retail catering, then food manufacturing and wholesaling before concentrating on his own consultancy business.

He has had a close non executive / coaching involvement for periods of three years or more with a number of established SME companies in different sectors.

As an Interim Manager he has controlled divisions with an annual turnover of £2m to £6m employing up to 150 people.

He is actively involved with two leading Business Angel networks as an investor and adviser.

Albert has had experience of mergers and acquisitions, being a catalyst in the creation of a £20m pa turnover organisation and now with sales of £50 million per annum.

He has advised on exit strategies for small businesses owners and on management buy ins and buy outs, partnerships, joint ventures and strategic alliances.

Albert is a Full Member of the Institute of Business Consulting (MIBC) and is a trained DTI Benchmarking practitioner
